A comprehensive overview and explanation why ROI should not be applied stand-alone when measuring training effectiveness. The integration into Kirkpatrick's model (4 level assessment) broadens the scope and effectiveness of assessement.

This article introduces to the ROI approach, suggesting to include other types of evaluation as well. The author concentrates on the discussion about the integration into Kirkpatricks' evaluation model which should not only be limited to level 4 (impact of training on organizational performance metrics).
